Request via Patient Record

To request pathology directly from the patient record, click “Pathology Lab Request” from the actions menu on the patient home page. 

This will take you to the service picker where you will be able to search and brows for test. 

Note:

  • · Tests cannot be added unless they have been previously setup under the service admin section. See SA401
  • · Only tests that the lab can provide will be displayed.
  • · Tests that are not provided under the patient charge band will not show up in the search results. They will need to be added via the browse menu.

The lab request form will load and some extra options based on your settings with the Lab will become visible.

These options will be presented on the left side of the page. As you alter these options, the form will change accordingly.

Once you are happy with the form, click save and print.

Note: Make sure you have your pop up blocker turned off for your Meddbase Site

The form will be printed with all the patient details and a bar code. The Lab will use this bar code to reference you and reference the delivery of the results back to Meddbase. Please make sure this Bar Code prints correctly or it may result in a delay of the results.
