Rule Sets

Rule sets allow you to create a 'container' to hold groups of rules. If you find you are using the same rules many times for many companies, it may be easier to add these to a single rule set and apply this rule set. The options for a rule set are:

  • Name - Set the name of the rule set
  • Apply Rules When…
    • Primary Doctor is - Rule set only applies if a specific doctor is attending
    • Site is - Rules only apply if the appointment is at a specific site
    • Location is - Rules only apply if the appointment is in a specific location
    • Tag is - Rules only apply if the ‘Billing Tag’ for a session is equal to the text field
  • Rules - The set of rules to apply

To create a new rule set, open your billing rules, click Add Rule, and choose new Rule Set. Next, give the rule set a name, and assign any relevant filter options for the rule set.

Next, click Add rule on the left hand side of the screen, and select any required rules. When you have added all the required rules, you can close the dialogue.

You can now add the newly created rule set to any required charge bands.
