Meddbase includes a global VAT setting that applies across the chamber. Ensuring this setting is configured correctly is essential for accurate financial reporting. Clients in different territories may utilise a different VAT rate and Meddbase can accommodate this.

What is the purpose of the article?

This guide explains how to update the global VAT setting in Meddbase and highlights the importance of matching VAT rates between Meddbase and your integrated accountancy programs.

Please note, this will affect the VAT rate for all items within your chamber.

Changing the VAT Rate

To adjust the global VAT setting for billing across the chamber, follow these steps:

  1. From the Start page, navigate to:
    Admin > Configuration > Application.

  2. Make the necessary changes to the VAT setting.

  3. Once changes are made, ensure you save and accept them.

Please note that the amounts are saved in full numbers and not percentages. ie: 1.2 is equivalent to 20%
