Please note, this method has now been replaced by the E-Prescribe Medication and Collection feature. Read more here How to use the Medication Delivery and Collection feature in Meddbase. This article will soon be archived.

The eFax feature allows you to fax prescriptions directly to pharmacies. Please note that this is a chargeable feature, just get in touch with our support team should you wish to find out more!

To find out more on how to set up this feature click here.

To send a prescription via fax go to the consultation page in the appointment and you can either prescribe and print or print an existing prescription (note that only doctors are allowed to prescribe. To find out more about prescriptions click here).

Once the fax was sent, the box next to 'Send Fax' will show 'Sent'. You can also view all sent faxes in https://secure.efaxdeveloper.com. Navigate to the 'Sent Folder' and you can see if the fax was sent successfully and opening the report transmission status will also allow you to see the document sent. Note that at this point you are seeing information recorded by eFax and not Meddbase.

Please Note: Prescribers should review the printed prescription prior to printing, e-faxing or tasking it, to ensure that it faithfully and unambiguously communicates the details of the selected medications in a way which can be understood by a dispensing pharmacist.
