We'll be releasing the next update to your Meddbase system on the 29th of March, and wanted to share some details with you so you know what new functionality you'll be getting access to then.

SNOMED System

First, we would like to update you on our SNOMED coding service in Meddbase. As a customer who is subscribed to the Meddbase drug database, you were notified last week regarding a recent issue that prevented some SNOMED clinical codes from being recorded as expected in the system.

We are actively working on reprocessing any missed SNOMED clinical codes and would like to provide you with an update on this. This process is taking longer than anticipated, and we plan on resolving the issue by March 31st 2021. Until this issue is fully resolved, our clinical decision support alert system, used during prescribing, may not display all the relevant warnings for a patient. Please bear this in mind when prescribing and apply additional due diligence where appropriate.

We take the prescribing functionality of Meddbase extremely seriously, and we always want to keep you updated about any issues and subsequent resolutions that have taken place. We will confirm once this issue is fully resolved, and we believe the clinical decision support is working as intended.

Decorous Documents

We're thrilled to announce that there will be a brand new way of getting documents uploaded to meddbase within this release.
We've reworked the document upload module from the ground up to provide a better, faster, and more pleasant user experience.
Between now and the release date, we'll be adding some detail to our Knowledge Base with some more specific details about how to use the new system, but for now, here's a brief rundown of what you'll be getting.

Our Document System Upgrades At-A-Glance

Drag, Drop, Done.

From the next release, when you're adding documents to any record, you'll have the option of dragging and dropping your files straight into meddbase. It's that simple!

Fast as a Flash

You'll be able to apply all the same settings to your documents as you do today, faster than ever. Apply a Document Policy, set a Document Type, and even add comments to all the documents you're uploading at the same time. Time = saved!

Rational, Reliable

If you prefer to choose files using your file explorer, fear not! We've got you covered. Continue using the 'Choose Files' option, but now you will be able to select multiple files for upload.

Reassuring Reliability

As ever, we're using this time to improve reliability and performance and resolve any issues that we come across.
