Here we bring you highlights from the first quarter of the year, and share some exciting developments for the Meddbase product, keeping you informed about what the company has in store for our clients over the coming months. |
We’re constantly working on and refining the Meddbase Product Roadmap to ensure we are prioritising the most impactful additions to the software for our clients. This past quarter we have worked especially hard to hone the roadmap for the coming year.
Roadmaps are fluid and need to be able to pivot to react to changing circumstances, but we would like to share some of our vision for the features and upgrades on the near horizon, and some that are a little further away.
This is just a taster of the exciting functionality that you can look forward to from your Meddbase system over the next 9-12 months. If you’d like to share your opinion on what we should be adding to this roadmap, make yourself heard via our UserVoice forum.

Reliability and Performance Improvements
Our engineers are always working hard towards maintaining and improving the reliability and performance of the application and its underlying services. Additional efforts in this area have been a major focus this quarter, and we are seeing some exciting results.
Following a series of optimisations, we tracked a 20% improvement in the performance of our database server - surpassing the benchmarks we were aiming for.
This is just one example of the work that goes on behind the scenes at Meddbase to keep services running ever more smoothly.

Meddbase + NHS Diabetes Pilot
Over the past two quarters Meddbase has been working with the Humber & North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) as part of the Hull Clinical Commissioning Group, to provide two limited pilots for the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme, which aims to help the five million people nationally who are at risk of developing the disease.
Together we have completed two variations of pilots comparing opt-in and opt-out solutions to refer pre-diabetic patients to a collaborative programme aimed at improving efforts to prevent diabetes.
Meddbase’s solution has surpassed the previous benchmark referral conversion of 16% and based on the pilot sample audience achieved over 38% conversion for the opt-in option and over 78% for the opt-out option.
The project has now reached the final phase and Meddbase is drafting a white paper outlining the full results and findings which we will publicise shortly. If you'd like more information about our work on the Diabetes Prevention Pilot, or are interested in commissioning a similar pilot, please get in touch.

Meddbase Medication Delivery Pilot - Update
During the first quarter of the year our teams have been working alongside a set of Meddbase clients and our pharmacy partner to deploy the pilot phase of a new paperless prescribing feature within Meddbase. This feature offers straightforward and integrated dispensing of prescriptions, with a free delivery service.
This work has been the result of a demand from customers for true paperless prescribing, and removes the need for follow-up signatures, while providing fast and convenient same day courier services within London. The pilot has been running smoothly, with positive feedback from clinicians, dispensing pharmacists and patients.
If you would like more information on our Medication Delivery service or would like to enquire about adding it to your package, please contact your Account Manager at accountmanagement@meddbase.com |

Meddbase Charity Partner 2022
We are proud of the fundraising efforts of Meddbase staff, who have helped to raise money for charity over the past couple of years, mainly through our annual company-sponsored event, MeddMiles.
We have always donated all funds raised to charitable organisations our staff are personally involved with, and this year is no exception. For 2022 we have decided to support a refugee organisation, Refugee Support, whose mission is to rebuild lives with dignity.
After generous donations by the team, Medical Management Systems fund matched the total amount raised and channeled this to their current Ukraine Appeal. We will continue to support this organisation for the coming months in the important work they do at Dignity Centres in various locations. |

New City of London Office Location
One big change this year for the Meddbase team has been securing an exciting new office space within the Work.Life building in the heart of the City of London, at Liverpool Street.
You can find contact details for both our UK office locations, including our new London office address on our website.
This quarter we also had the opportunity to get a large number of our team together in person at our new premises for the first Town Hall of the year to discuss the exciting planned developments in our product roadmap.
We are also happy to announce a return to offering face to face account management reviews - we know that calls over Teams and Zoom may not be the perfect fit for everyone, so we are pleased to have re-opened our pre-pandemic face to face account review meeting calendar. Just ask your account manager for more information about visiting us, or having your account manager visit your location. |
