We're delighted to introduce two new members of the Meddbase family: 

Damian Adil: We are thrilled to introduce Damian, our new Senior Software Engineer, who comes with a wealth of experience in various industries from IT to finance, and a passion for developing innovative solutions.  

Ryan Tooms:
In his role as Junior Site Reliability Engineer, Ryan will be responsible for ensuring that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently, while also identifying opportunities for improvement. 


New themes  

You can now customise the look and feel of your Meddbase chamber to match your corporate identity. With configurable colours all over the dashboard and support for a custom logo, you now have the opportunity to make Meddbase reflect your unique identity. You can even try creating animated SVG logos if you feel adventurous! We encourage you to give it a try and let us know your thoughts.

Xero improvements 

We have also made some changes designed to better support customers using Xero as their accountancy package. With improved refund workflows and support for tracking categories, you can now ensure that your accountancy picture is correct everywhere.

Template Codes in OH referral discharge letters

Now you can decide whether to use {Documents} or {PublicDocuments} template code in OH referral discharge letters. {Documents} includes all documents attached to the referral, while {PublicDocuments} includes only those  marked as  'shared  with the employer' in the patient's documents, and attached to the referral.

Default discharge letters now use {PublicDocuments} to prompt informed choices.

Patient Portal improvements 

We have been hard at work to make your patient portal experience even better! Earlier in the year we simplified the registration and password reset processes, helping your patients get online and book appointments faster. Plus, we added 2FA for enhanced data security, giving you and your patients peace of mind.  

These changes are leading up to some larger Patient Portal changes on the horizon... Carry on reading to find out more! 


A brand new Patient Portal  

On the horizon, we are thrilled to be introducing a refresh of the Patient Portal, with a host of new features and problem-solving characteristics. This will include a new version of the Fast Booking Portal, with a brand new booking workflow that will make it even more patient-friendly. Our aim is to make it a more accessible, beautiful, and easy-to-use funnel for simple bookings, while also improving performance and accessibility. 

Medication Delivery Phase 2 
We have also received some great feedback from our recent successful pilot of the Medication Delivery in partnership with Signature Pharmacy. Thanks to your feedback, we are excited to announce the next phase of the partnership. In addition to home delivery of prescriptions, patients will soon have the ability to pick up their prescription from their pharmacy of choice, giving them more control. 

We hope you are as excited as we are for these updates and look forward to continuing to improve your Meddbase experience. 

Gender Identity
We are thrilled to announce the addition of two new fields that will help us capture important information for patient records. These user-friendly dropdown menus will seamlessly integrate into our system and will be fully customisable by you. They are meant to complement the existing 'sex' field that we currently use for recording.

The first field is for Gender Identity, which includes options such as Transwoman, Transman, Genderfluid, Non-Binary, and more.

The second field is for Pronouns, which includes options like He/Him, She/Her, They/Them, Xie/Hir, Ver/Ver, and etc.

In line with this new feature, we are separating the Patient's Title and Sex fields. Selecting titles like Ms or Mr will no longer automatically indicate a gender. This change reflects our commitment to inclusivity and accurate data and will be applicable to all Meddbase customers.
