Hello everyone,

We’re excited to share the latest updates in Meddbase, designed to help you work smarter, faster, and with greater confidence. Here’s what’s new and ready for you to explore.

New Feature: Attendee Replacement

Say hello to intelligent attendee management.

Scheduling and Rescheduling just got simpler. The new Attendee Replacement feature makes it easier to assign the right clinician to the right appointment — even for complex, multi-part sessions.

What’s New?

Attendee Replacement includes a smart, built-in wizard that filters eligible clinicians based on:

  • Real-time availability

  • Existing booking rules

  • Clinician qualifications

This ensures only suitable and available clinicians are shown — helping users make changes with confidence, whether during the initial booking or when rescheduling — reducing manual effort and minimising scheduling errors.

How It Works
  • Open Appointment Home page
  • Click “Change Date, Time, Attendees or Notes”
  • Select the pencil icon next to the attendee you want to replace
  • The Attendee Replacement dialogue will open, showing a list of suitable replacement options based on availability and booking rules
This feature also respects existing booking rules and configuration settings, helping teams manage changes more efficiently and accurately.

Want to Enable It?

The Attendee Replacement feature is available to all customers at no additional cost. It’s currently behind a feature flag so to enable it, simply contact your Account Manager or raise a ticket with Support.

New Billing Rule Now Live: Grouped Service Credits

Grouped Service Credits allow patients to book a mix of different appointment types or services within one session bundle, while still keeping usage within the overall package limits.

What’s New?
Whether it’s five of the same appointment or service, or a tailored mix across services, patients can use one package to manage their care – no need for multiple credit types or plans. It’s a simpler, more adaptable way to support patient choice.

How It Works
Admins can create Grouped Service Credit rules by:
  • Setting a total number of sessions allowed
  • Selecting the services to include
  • Applying conditions such as clinician role, site, or location
Once created, the rule is added to a charge band to ensure accurate billing.

What’s Changed?
Previously, service credits could only be applied to one specific appointment type. Now, multiple services can be grouped together in a single bundle, offering more flexibility for patients.

To start configuring the rule go to Admin > Billing rules

For additional information and details on how to set this up please follow our configuration steps on our Knowledge Base Article
