Polished Patient Pathways
Building on the already prodigious power of the Patient Pathways system, there are now more opportunities to involve patients directly via the Patient Portal. We've written a Knowledge Base article discussing the specifics but in short, patients can now;
Answer questionnaires
Book appointments
Complete tasks
Make decisions, and
Upload documents
When prompted to do so by a Patient Pathway task. All of these are available directly within the portal, giving your patients direct access to their care plan. If you are interested in setting up a Patient Pathway, please do get in touch.
Terrific Text Messages
There are some important upgrades coming to the SMS functionality within Meddbase with this release. Not only will you be able to send messages longer that 160 characters, you'll also be able to include unicode characters. These benefits apply to manually written SMS's as well as templates, and are discussed in more depth here.
Congenial Cookies
To make sure that your patients know exactly how their data is used when they visit the Patient Portal, you'll now be able to add and customise the content of a Cookies notice. If you'd like to enable this feature, please get in touch with Support.
Industrious Imports
If you're interested in getting data into your Meddbase instance quickly and efficiently, you'll be very pleased to hear that there are loads of additions being made to the Import Layer with this release including:
Document Types
Titles
Referrers
Payment Types
Appointment Amendment Reasons
Locations
And in even better news, you can expect more additions to this area of the application over the coming months.

As with every release, we're taking the opportunity to squash bugs, improve performance, and ensure the highest levels of reliability. You can read about our latest changes here. If you spot something that doesn't look right; see it, say it sort it (or send us a support ticket).
Excluding hotfixes, our maintenance windows are as follows:
UK and Europe: Mondays and Wednesdays after 22:30 BST/GMT. Canada: Tuesdays and Thursdays after 09:00 GMT (03:00 CST) and after 09:00 BST (02:00 CST).
All releases will be scheduled after 22:30 BST/GMT unless otherwise stated. A brief period of downtime can be expected with these times.
