The next Meddbase release is planned for the 31st of August, read on to find out more about what's included - from all the content previously planned for release in July, to some extra bells and whistles.
Pretty PDFs
There's a nice new upgrade coming to the way we render PDF documents when they are uploaded to a Patient's record. We've gone in to more detail in this Knowledge Base article, and you can expect to be able to preview PDF documents directly in the Medical History or Consultation Suite once the release is live.
Polished Patient Pathways
Building on the already prodigious power of the Patient Pathways system, there are now more opportunities to involve patients directly via the Patient Portal.
All of these options are available directly within the portal, giving your patients direct access to their care plan.

Terrific Text Messages
There are some important upgrades coming to the SMS functionality within Meddbase with this release. Not only will you be able to send messages exceeding 160 characters, you'll also be able to include unicode characters. These benefits apply to manually written text messages as well as templates, and are discussed in more depth here.
Congenial Cookies
To make sure that your patients know exactly how their data is used when they visit the Patient Portal, you'll now be able to add and customise the content of a cookie notice. If you'd like to enable this feature, please get in touch with us via Support.
Industrious Imports
If you're interested in getting data into your Meddbase instance quickly and efficiently, you'll be very pleased to hear that there are multiple additions being made to the Import Layer with this release, including:
Document Types
Titles
Referrers
Payment Types
Appointment Amendment Reasons
Locations
And we have more good news; you can expect further additions to this area of the application over the coming months.
Dapper Dependability
As with every release, we're taking the opportunity to squash bugs, improve performance, and ensure the highest levels of reliability. You can read about our latest changes here.
